Long time, no see! on December 18th, 2009 by Unamithil
It’s a long time since we had an update here on the site.
The main reason is that a lot of the key members/officers took a break, because of the stressing life in Azeroth. But we’re back now, and really enjoying the new LFG system.
We also decided that we wanted to do a last raid in 2009 – to finish it off in good manners.
We ventured to Icecrown Citadel, together with two former guildies and friends, to see how far we could get. Our adventures started at Lord Marrowgar – who we one shotted!

We move on to Lady Deathwhisper – who proved to be a little challenge – but after three tries we managed to smash her under the elevator.
We moved up to meet with our allies, who provided us with a gunship and rocket packs. So off we went to fight of the horde, those bastards! But they didn’t stand a chance to the might of Arisen – and their gunship sank pretty quickly.
Then it was time for the last available boss, Saurfang. After a hilarious scene with Muradin (Shut up, Gigus!) we finally got to fight him – but he proved to be the hardest challenge of the night – but 4-5 tries and the deathknight had to bow to us.
So thank you to all the Arisen’ers who came to the last raid of the year – and a big shout out to Kangaroopoo aka Jazzonmyface aka Odour and to Saverok, for coming to help us.

Sounds like old news, but it’s actually not :p
The new level 80 version of Onyxia had to go down, even though it took a few tries to tweak the tactics.

Anub’arak is dead… Again! on September 4th, 2009 by Unamithil
We killed him in Azjol-Nerub, but apparently that wasn’t enough.
So last night in ToC 10 we had to take him down yet another time, and so we did! So thanks to everyone who stayed through all the stupid wipes in the beginning – it all worked out in the end.

Thom and I have been in Sweden a few weeks ago where we met up with Benithal, Ferengus and Giddlewig. Some cool drunk recordings came out of that.
A new expansion has been announced – we’ll talk about it, and maybe it’ll be out next week xD

Trial of the Crusader on August 30th, 2009 by Unamithil
The summer has been here, and so has the lack of computerinteraction (read: updates on this page).
But the ingame progress has continued. After a slow summer with a few raids canceled, we actually did have a little progress in ToC.
In the 10 man version we are on par with the number of bosses available at the moment. But we only got this screenshot to share with you – it’s Lord Jaraxxus and he looks dead:

On 25 man we’ve managed to down the Beasts of Northrend – and it looks something like this:
Autumn is nearly here, and hopefully more eagerness in raiding will spring back to life too. We are looking forward to the Icecrown Citadel and of course the Cataclysm next year!
The first Arisen Podcast on August 1st, 2009 by Unamithil
We have made our first podcast.
Thom (Fydria) and Dan (Lightreaver) and Martin (Unamithil) was sitting last night and talked about making a podcast – and so we did.
None of us had tried it before, but that didn’t really stop us. The main subject were the guild meetings of the past and of course the upcoming new years party.

We ventured into heroic Ulduar to try out new bosses.
After a few less successful attempts we finally got the giant downed.

After weeks of struggle, weeks of blood, sweat and a lot of tears, cursing and raised fists, it finally happened!
Our current nemisis Mimiron finally went down. So good work everyone who was there, and good work everyone who have been there the previous weeks and been wiping like mad on this boss!
And stay down, biaaatch!!

We finally made it into Ulduar 25 man, and first night went decent. Two first bosses down, and a decent attempt on Ignis, but then had to stop early since one of our healers had to go.
But overall a good raid night. Good job guys!
